My two page bio of cartoonist Jeffrey Brown.  I decided to write more about his books and art than his actual life, as he does that really well already, and I didn't want to remake one of his strips.

I purposely copped his style, but all props go to Mr. Brown.  Some of these panels are recreations from his various comics, including Clumsy, Unlikely, Little Things, and Funny Misshapen Body.  The rest are homages.

My idea was to start out rather sketchy, and progress to a more clean version, much like Jeffrey's comics have progressed since Clumsy.  I don't think that I successfully managed to convey that.  Also, the inks killed the pencils...time constrictions for class, and my poor time management didn't help.   So I feel that this could have been a lot better, but it's what I made it.  Anywho, enjoy.

  1. Very good overview of Jeffrey's career. I like how your homage showed the evolution of his art and the best part is, as a fan, I learned a couple of new things about him. Thanks!

  2. oh what a fine display!
i enjoy the rather dee-lite-ful pictures your splendid blog!
    keep up the wonderful posts!
